Day 1: Beijing

Our guide will meet you at airport and you will be transferred to the hotel. The rest of the day will be free time to you. You could choose a local restaurant to taste the famous Beijing Duck for your first dinner.

Day 2: Beijing

Today we will guide you to the [Temple of Heaven], the place where the emperors used to pray for the God's blessing for the whole nation in ancient time and now we might fly kites there if weather permitting. Right after that, we go to the [Tian'anmen Square], the biggest city square in the world. Later we will visit the [Forbidden City], the largest imperial palace in China during the Ming and Qing dynasties with a history of around 600 years. In the evening, we will enjoy a Chinese martial art show named [Kungfu Legend]. It will be funny to all of us, especially for the kids.

Day 3: Beijing

We will travel to [Mutianyu Great Wall] which is a more original and the less crowded section of the famous wall. Exploring the unbelievable man-made structure and surveying the spectacular surrounding countryside surroundings will leave an unforgettable impression on you.

Day 4: Beijing

It is a day for the children. We will go and visit the [China Military Museum] in the morning. And we will spend the rest of the afternoon in [Beijing Nature History Museum].

Day 5: Beijing-Xi'an

[Summer Palace] is a summer resort from the Ming and Qing Dynasty and also the biggest and most renowned imperial summer resort in modern time. We will visit it and enjoy the great example of China's extraordinary workmanship and architecture. Later, we will drive to Beijing’s old area and have a short [Hutong Tour by rickshaw]. Afterwards we drive to the airport for a pm flight to Xi'an.

Day 6: Xi'an

A visit to the world-famous [Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum] will present us these excavated pottery statues. They are the most significant archeological excavations of the 20th century and regarded as "the Eighth Wonder of the World". After coming back, the rest time can be leisurely spent in walking around the downtown Xi'an.

Day 7: Xi'an.

We will have a leisurely morning in wandering the Muslim Quarter and visiting the [Great Mosque]. Then we will have [a cooking class] to learn to cook the traditional Xi'an noodles. Of course, what we make will be our lunch. Later in the afternoon, we have [a bike tour] on the top of the [Xi'an City Wall], enjoying a bird eye view of the downtown area.

Day 8: Xi'an-Chengdu

Today we visit the [Shaanxi Provincial Museum] to know more about how Xi'an became the cradle of Chinese culture. The next stop will be the [Big Wild Goose Pagoda], a well-preserved ancient building and a holy place for Buddhists. It was built by the eminent monk Xuanzang in 652 AD. After the visit, we will go to the airport to take a pm flight to Chengdu.

Day 9: Chengdu-Leshan-Chengdu

This morning we will go to Leshan  where we can have a look at the world's [largest Buddha], carved into the hillside near the confluence of the Dadu and Min Rivers. A seated figure (as opposed to the ‘standing' or ‘reclining' Buddha images found elsewhere), which is a spectacular 71 meters (about 232 feet)high and over 1000 years old and took almost 100 years to build. It is not only impressed by the close quarters, but also can be [viewed on a boat from a distance] for gaining a different perspectives. In the evening, we will enjoy an [Instant-changing the Facial Mask performance] during a Sichuan Opera show.

Day 10: Chengdu-Chongqing

It will certainly be one of the most exciting mornings in your trip, especially for the kids. We will go to [Chengdu Giant Panda Breeding and Researching Base] in the northeast suburb of this city. You will have a close look at the world cutest animal, even the cubs there. If you really want, you can even hug a lovely young panda and have your picture taken together with putting on the special clothes as a surgeon. In the afternoon, we take the express train for two hours to get to Chongqing where we board our boat to commence a [cruise] on one of the great rivers of the world. We depart Chongqing at 21:00 / 22:00 in the evening.

We will spend three nights on board and sleep in twin-share cabins with private facilities, just like accommodation in a small hotel room. Bedding and sheets are provided; there are all meals throughout the cruise. There is an excursion offshore to visit the most famous attractions along the river in every morning. There are Chinese cultural lectures and other entertainments for you to participate on your interests in the afternoon. During the cruise, we will travel along one of the most picturesque sections, through the renowned Three Gorges and finish our cruise near the construction site of the massive new dam.

Day 11: Yangtze River Cruise

We visit the [Ghost City at Fengdu] to experience the Chinese unique traditions. Fengdu County is known to most Chinese as the "Ghost City". With nearly two thousand years' history, the Ghost City combines the cultures of Confucianism, Taoism and Buddhism with the mystique of ghosts. Many famous literary works like Journey to the West, Apotheosis of Heroes and Strange Tales of a Lonely Studio contain vivid references to Fengdu. Visitors to the Ghost City will marvel at the artisanship of ancient craftsman, the unique styles of architecture and the culture of the ghost. Whatever your beliefs are, you are constantly reminded of the "Good will be rewarded with good, and evil with evil." A major highlight here is the annual temple fair every March 3 - 5 featuring all kinds of folk activities and performances.

Day 12: Yangtze River Cruise

We visit the [Lesser Three Gorges] (Sometimes the Shennong Stream as an alternative). Yangtze Cruise is the most marvelous river cruise of China. Yangtze River is the Mother River of the Chinese Nation and the Life-blood of China. Over 6,300 kilometres (about 3914 miles) long, the mighty Yangtze is the longest river in China, surpassed only by the Nile of Africa and the Amazon of South America. Between Chongqing and Yichang are the magnificent Three Gorges which are regarded as some of the most spectacular scenic attractions in China.

Day 13: Yangtze River Cruise-Yichang-Shanghai

You can enjoy an offshore excursion to [Three Gorges Dam] site this morning. The Three Gorges Dam is the world's largest hydropower station in terms of installed capacity (22,500 MW). After lunch, you will get disembarked in Yichang. And then you will be met and transferred to Yichang airport for a flight to Shanghai.

Day 14: Shanghai

Today we will go to the [Outer Bund] to have a visit. There you can see the modern skylines of this biggest city of China; and [Yuyuan Garden], a beautiful private garden which is the most typical representative of its sort of Chinese garden. After lunch, we will go to the [Lower Sphere of the Oriental Pearl Tower]. Then we will go to have an outward look of the Expo Park in the same district. In the evening, we will enjoy a wonderful [Chinese acrobatic show] after dinner. The kids will definite like that very much.

Day 15: Shanghai

After having breakfast, let’s go the [Caoyang New Village] to experience the daily life of natives. You can have a get-together with the children. You can buy raw materials for food in the local market and learn to make Chinese snacks, such as Jiaozi, Huntun, you can taste your own “works”; you can enjoy a free time in your host’s home. Then go to visit the [Shanghai Museum] which is a largely one of ancient Chinese art. Afterward, we will go to Nanjing Road for shopping, and you’ll be transferred back into your hotel.

Day 16: Shanghai-Departure
