If you are space travel fans who don't afford traveling with the Virgin Galactic vessel, you can now consider a trip to China. A new space-themed hotel is opened in Shenzhen, China: the Pengheng Space Capsules Hotel. It is almost entirely staffed by robots, with blue-lit capsule beds instead of rooms. And also despite such shiny futuristic furniture, the rates are exceedingly affordable, with rooms starting from about 70 Yuan ($11.5/ €8.5) a night per person. It was opened three months ago in the Bao'an District. This quirky theme hotel offers unique digitally-focused system, such as a lounge area with tablets for ordering food and banks of PCs for gaming or grazing the Internet.

The rooms and hallways are mostly white, filled with blue neon and shiny surfaces, attended by tiny robots, who you will also find serving drinks and snacks. A locker is provided to each guest for belongings and there is a laundry room available to guests for washing clothes. In each capsule, the guests can find a TV, an alarm clock, a light and many other facilities a hotel generally provides.

According to the Nanfang Insider, “although the hotel will have somebody on reception 24 hour a day, there are robots to do the menial tasks. Moreover, in the coffee shop on the 1st floor, diners order their meal on tablet computers that are provided.”
