Cruising the canal, it was a wonderful experience, our Asian Venice, to enjoy the sights of ancient buildings on both sides of the canal and along the street. The stone bridges add to the beauty of the place. We even saw an old lady doing her washing on the stone steps at the backyard of her house. Many couples were having their wedding photos taken too. The scenery was truly eye-catching, with red lanterns everywhere.

Doing washing on the stone is a very traditional washing way in Chinese history and also it is a kind of living style. Also it is popular to take wedding photos along the ancient canal. Thank you for comment, best regards!
