The Analects were the teachings of Confucius put together by his students after his passing away. In honor of Confucian style and culture, the garden illustrating his works by Calligraphy and stone carvings is built to show profound Confucius culture.
Analects Tablet Garden is 300 meters away from Temple of Confucius in the south. It is a tourist attraction characterized by calligraphy, stone carvings and Chinese garden.
The garden covers an area of 46,700 square meters. The buildings in the gardens are in Ming style, which incorporate the features both royal garden in the North and private garden in the South, a combination of elegance and beauty. There are more than 400 architectures in the garden, grand and small, in different types, pavilion, corridor, halls and platforms etc.
The name of the garden is inscribed by his descendant, Mr. Kong Decheng. It has a collection of masterpieces from 512 calligraphers and artists famous at home and abroad. They are carved with exquisite craftsmanship and displayed in the hall.
