Luo Ben (1330–1400), better known by his style name Luo Guanzhong , was a Chinese writer of the early Ming Dynasty period of Chinese history. He was also known as Huhai Sanren ( literally "Leisure Man of Lakes and Seas"). Luo was attributed with writing Romance of the Three Kingdoms and editing Water Margin, two of the Four Great Classical Novels of Chinese literature.
About 2 kilometers north of Qingxu County in the city of Taiyuan, is his former residence. "The City of the Three Kingdoms" was built as an outdoor filming location for The Three Kingdoms. Covering an area of 13.3 hectares, the city boasts stages, Guansheng Hall, Xiandian Hall, Nine-Dragon Fountain and houses for concubines.
