Xing'an Rice Noodle & Grape Festival of 2012 Will be Held on August 23th

It is declared in the press conference of Xing'an County Party committee and county government that the 6th Xing'an Rice Noodle Festival plus Grape Festival will be held on August 23 and last for about a week.
Rice Noodle is a very famous and popular snack in Guilin region, which was first invented in Qin Dynasty (221 B.C.) as a food to release the homesickness of those northern soldiers who came to Guilin to build the Ling Canal. It is a well-known food in Guilin, just like Guilin's unique hills and water. There are all kinds of ingredients and tastes for you to enjoy delicious noodles. Themed noodles include vegetarian noodle, beef noodle, trio meat noodle, plain noodle or hot and sour noodle. Noodle toppings frequently include fried peanuts or soybeans, chopped green onions and thin slices of different kinds of meat. Due to its unique delicious flavor, the Rice Noodle Festival has made Xing'an County, Guyilin so famous around the country. The Rice Noodle Festival has already been successfully held for 5 seasons. The first festival took place in 2007. The 2nd 3rd and 4th seasons were held during the same period each year, from April 28 to May 3. While the 5th Rice Noodle Festival, has reached a complete successfully in June 12, which lasted for 4 days.
Meanwhile, the Grape Festival that won the honor of "the top ten grand brand festival of 2011 in China " has also been held successfully for three times. The success of these two big festivals not only increase reputation of Xing’an but also promoted utility of modern tourism and the development of the grape industry.
