At a press conference held by the Ministry of Public Security on July 3, the National Immigration Bureau announced a series of measures to support Hainan to implement more convenient high-end tourism entry and exit services.

Jia Tongbin, deputy director of the Department of Foreigners Administration of the State Administration of Immigration, said at the press conference that the State Administration of Immigration had drawn up three policies and measures to promote the construction of Hainan's international tourism consumption center.

One is to support the implementation of the visa-free entry policy for foreign tour groups on cruise ships. We will promote Hainan to cultivate new hot spots in tourism consumption and actively study and implement the 15-day visa-free policy for foreign tour groups entering Hainan on cruise ships.

The second is to simplify the entry and exit procedures for cruise ships and yachts. To promote the further opening up of Hainan's tourism consumption field, exempt Hong Kong and Macao yachts from the entry and exit border inspection procedures when sailing between designated ports on the island; We will promote the construction of border inspection and customs clearance facilities at the cruise ship's home port, simplify the procedures for cruise ship staff to check on board and disembark, and improve the efficiency of cruise ship entry and exit customs clearance.

The third is to provide convenience for foreigners to stop and stay in Hainan for diagnosis and treatment. Support Hainan to implement the Boao Lecheng International Medical Tourism Priority Zone Policy. Foreign patients and accompanying family members can apply for visas or residence permits consistent with the duration of medical service based on medical service certificates issued by Hainan medical institutions.
