Wuzhizhou Island is located in Haitang Bay in the north of Sanya, Hainan Province, far opposite to South Bay Monkey Island in the north and adjacent to Yalong Bay in the south, which is known as the first bay in the world. Wuzhizhou Island is 2.7 kilometers away from the coastline and covers an area of 1.48 square kilometers. It is in the shape of an irregular butterfly, 1,400 meters long from east to west and 1,100 meters wide from north to south. Wuzhizhou Island is one of the few small islands around Hainan Island with fresh water resources and rich vegetation, with more than 2,000 kinds of plants and a wide variety of species.
