Zhujiajiao, known as "the Venice of Shanghai", is a very well-preserved ancient water town in the modern Shanghai.

Itinerary

Day 1: Shanghai-Zhujiajiao-Shanghai

After breakfast you will be met at your hotel and transferred to visit [Zhujiajiao]. Zhujiajiao is located in Qingpu County. It is 30 km far from Hongqiao International Airport. The golden waterways groove wear River town and that has convenient traffic and beautiful scenery, abundant natural resources. It is the most completely preservation of the Shanghai Jiangnan Water Town. Setting Free Bridge is a stone bridge built in the middle of Qing Dynasty. It is grandeur and symmetry, which is the landmark of Zhujiajiao Village. You may have a birds’ eye view of the village standing on the bridge. And after lunch you will take cruise on the river.

After the visit come back to Shanghai and the day tour ends when back to your hotel.

The quality of the trips was generally good. The best experience was hiking on the Great Wall in Beijing. All guides were professional, service oriented and well trained. All guides had a fairly good command of English, some better, some less. The normal communication went well. We were very much pleased with Alex, our guide in Shanghai, who gave us very useful and to the point information. We very much appreciated his great sense of humor. Thank you very much for such a nice trip. Please see our comments below: The distribution of the time was fairly done, Meals were excellent in general. All guides were knowledgeable of the place and able to answer our questions. The best one was Sarah in Beijing and Ruth in Xian. All guides versed in English. All drivers were fairly good. The hotels were very nice and excellent breakfast.

Guilin and Yangshou were our favorite part of our trip to China.The scenery was breathtaking and the river cruise down the river was the highlight of our trip. Our tour organizer Chanel with China Expedition was beyond amazing! She would make sure to point out every detail, took great care of us and was truly wonderful. I can't praise her enough and would recommend anyone to ask for arrange tour.The countryside in Yangshou is beautiful and we rode mopeds around the fields and mountains. We spent one night at the Yangshou Mountain Retreat hotel on the river and wished we could have spent another couple of nights there. It is on a perfect spot on the river with the beautiful mountains as a backdrop. So relaxing!

Hi,Monica,

The trip was awesome!Every guide was an excellent ambassador for their city every place except for Guangzhou . Our guide, Louis, didn't take us to the tower there. I thought it was included with our tour...but I didn't question him. Also the hotel was not in a fun location and a bit unsettling.

So overall, we had a great time with Randy, Rock, Ruby, Tiger and Ann. While in Guilin, Tiger thought we were not having fun because of the rain; actually that made it more fun and gives us a fun story to share with friends, but I think that is why we didn't meet you.
