Yan'an was of great strategic importance in ancient wars, and is steeped in revolutionary traditions. Places of historical significance relating to the revolution were preserved in Yan'an, and have been visited by many people from both home and abroad.
Itinerary
You will be picked up at your hotel in the morning. Drive for 4.5 hours to Yan’an City. We will arrival there by lunch time. Check in to Yan’an Hotel.
After lunch, we go to visit [Baota Hill], a symbol of the Chinese revolution, from when at the top, you will get a bird's eye view of the entire town; then visit [Yangjialing Village], once was the headquarters of the Chinese Communist Party, and the [Revolutionary History Museum], not far from the Yangjialing Revolution Headquarters, is probably one of the best of its kind in China and the [Date Garden], site of the CCP Secretariat.
Stay overnight in Yan’an Hotel.

Check out from the hotel and go to visit China's second largest waterfall, [Hukou Waterfall], which is the only yellow Waterfall in the world. The water fall is 178 kilometers southeast of Yan'an. The drive will take you about 4 hours. Enjoy this splendor and roaring falls. You can also enjoy the vast and gorgeous yellow ocean of mist-covered water from a distance. Then we go to visit the [Yellow Emperor’s Mausoleum] in Huangling County.
After the visit, take our van/car going back to Xi’an. (About 5 hours drive). The two-day tour to North of Shaanxi ends when back to your hotel in Xi’an.
