Shuzheng Valley Tour Route

The distribution of the scenic spots in Jiuzhaigou is like the letter “Y”, in which the beneath branch is the Shuzheng Valley, while the right is the Rize Valley and the left is the Zechawa Vallay.

Shuzheng Valley, a valley with 40 lakes, is the main scenic spot in Jiuzhaigou. Along the 14 km long valley, sceneries are so charming that you may be reluctant to leave. Peaceful small lakes like a group of crystal mirrors shinning in the sun, waterfalls like pieces of white ribbons flying down the hills and reed woods like green waves shaking to you, all of which makes you like entering into the wonderland.

In this wonderland, there are many famous landscapes waiting for your expedition, such as the Jade River, the Lotus Village, the Bonsai Beach, the Reed Lake, the Spark Lake, the Black Horn Bridge and the Double-Dragon Bridge etc--which are too many to list here.

Having enjoyed the wonderful sceneries, you may want to experience the local customs and culture. As the Tibetan, the people in Jiuzhaigou are Buddhist, so Tibetan-style Buddhist flags are commonly seen hanging in the gate of the houses. The Shuzheng Village is a good place to visit, from where you can catch the entire sight of the lake groups that looks a string of pearls. Rize Valley Tour Route

The distribution of the scenic spots in Jiuzhaigou is like the letter “Y”, in which the right branch is the Rize Valley while the left is the Zachawa Vallay and the beneath is the Shuzheng Valley.

Along the 18 km long Rize Valley, wonderful and exciting scenic spots crowd together, waiting for your expedition, in which peaceful lakes, silver waterfalls and wild forests are the essence. In the place as high as 2900 meters, the 300 wide Nuorilang Waterfall with a fall of 20 meters is the most splendid waterfall and the most charming landscape in Jiuzhaigou. Especially in autumn, the flying waterfall shinning in the sun looks like a pure white scarf dancing in the wind, in the end of which water pearls drop down and splash out refreshing the air around.

If Shuzheng Valley is a wonderland with pretty and graceful sceneries, then the Rize Valley is a fairy tale with peaceful and wild landscapes, where is full of the serenity and purity of the nature. The steep cliff, the clean lake beach, the towering trees and the picturesque mountains even the falling leaves are so attractive and charming that you may be the one who is reluctant to leave.

Zechawa Valley Tour Route

The distribution of the scenic spots in Jiuzhaigou is like the letter “Y”, in which the left branch is the Zachawa Vallay while the right is the Rize Valley and the beneath is the Shuzheng Valley.

Zechawa Valley is the longest one, stretching longer than 18 km, along which many fascinating landscapes are the highlights of the Jiuzhaigou Valley. The Multi-colored Pools are the most charming lake among all the lakes in the Jiuzhaigou, in which various water plants, such as Spirogyra, stonewort, fern and reed, can be clearly seen under the limpid water. Owing to the abundant mineral materials, the water will show in various colors, blue, green, yellow, red or purple, under the sunshine.

Having enjoyed the magic Multi-color Pools, you can come to the Long-sea in the 3100 meters high place. Long-sea is the deepest lake with the largest area of 2,000,000 m2. Long-sea is a magic lake with no water outlet, the water in which never overflows even in the rainy season; neither will it dry in the dry season. The mountains stretching around the Long-sea wear snows all the year round. In the spring, blossoming colorful flowers will shine on the lake, in the autumn the red maple trees will make the lake more magic, in the winter the lake will be frozen--just like a pure mirror.

Zharu Valley Tour Route

Zharu Valley is a valley that far away from pollution and with well-preserved Tibetan traditional culture, where you can enjoy the purely natural sceneries and experience the traditional customs. The white clouds overhead, the charming mountains, the running streams, the flourishing trees, the colorful wild fruits and blossoming flowers all are of the beauty of the original.

The Magic Mirror Cliff erects there, seen in the distance it is like a huge screen, while it is like a smooth mirror when seen closer. It is said that all the wishes people made in front of this magic mirror cliff can come true, which is a reflection of how the Tibetans hold their faith.

The 3 km long Zharu Horse Trail is the best place for picturesque sightseeing on the horse and the road where the local Tibetans should go through to worship on every 15 of the lunar month. Therefore, it is a lovely place where you can experience the real local customs. The Zharu Bridge, crossing on the Jade River and linking two huge mountains, is built in a typical Tibetan wooden bridge style.

Surrounded by towering old trees, the Zharu Monastery is like a pearl in the center of a green lake. Inside the monastery, the religious banners are waving in the winds and people come from far and near are praying. Facing the Magic Mirror Cliff, Zharu Monastery seems more gorgeous and wonderful.

In addition, the peaceful lakes, the roaring waterfalls and the flourishing forests are worthy of being listed in your expedition.

Itinerary

Day 1: Chengdu-Jiuzhaigou

This morning we fly from Chengdu to Jiuhuang airport in Jiuzhaigou area. Upon arrival, we take a van to visit [Huanglong Scenic Area]. Afterwards, we drive to Jiuzhaigou, check into hotel and relax.

Stay overnight at Jiuzhaigou.

Day 2: Jiuzhaigou

After breakfast, we go to [Jiuzhaigou Scenic Area]. We visit the [Shuzheng Valley].[Rize Valley] and [Zechawa Valley] that take a "Y" shape, in the Minshan Mountain Range. Inhabited by Tibetans, the nine villages and alpine lakes, affectionately called "Ham", are like reflecting mirrors or crystal jade blocks inlaid in Snow Mountains and forests. At the end of Zechawa Valley is the Chang (Long) Lake and the end of Rize Valley are virgin forests. From south to north, both Valleys stretch and meet at Nuorilang. The drop between the two valleys and Shuzheng Valley is over 1,000 meters, with 1 14 lakes lying downward in an echelon manner, on which are 17 waterfalls, 11 rip currents and 5 travertine beaches, formulating alpine lake clusters and travertine spots that are rarely seen in China and even in the world. Enjoy natural beauties best demonstrated in its lakes, waterfalls, beaches, water currents, snow peaks, and virgin forests and spend time to take photos.
