The Lesser Three Gorges is a spectacular scene in the 60-kilometer-long Daning River, which consists of Longmen Gorge, Bawu Gorge and Dicui Gorge. It is smaller than the Three Gorges in size and length, while it is as charming and beautiful as Three Gorges. The crystal-like water, the flourishing woods and the mysterious mountains form a fantastic landscape picture that appeals to thousands of tourists making them reluctant to leave.
The 400-km-long (250-mile-long) ancient plank road built along the face of the 15-meter-high cliff on the bank of Daning River is one of the marvelous spectacles and one of the longest plank roads in China. In addition, in the ancient town Dachang, the once distributing dock along the Yangtze River, architectures built around 400 years ago in the Ming and Qing Dynasty can be commonly seen. The decoration styles of the shops along the town are of pure tradition and dense ancient flavor.
Should the picturesque landscapes, terrifying ancient plank road on the cliff, traditional customs and ancient cultures hit your taste?
