Located in Tianta Lake, Tianjin TV & Radio Tower is the highest in Asia and the fourth highest TV tower in the world after Toronto TV Tower in Canada, Moscow Tower in Russia, and Oriental Pearl TV Tower in Shanghai, China. The Tower is named 'Tianta Xuan Yun'—the clouds floating around the broadcast tower.
Built in 1991, the Tianjin TV & Radio Tower has a height of 415.2 meters. Its main body has a shape of two giant tubes, round outside and rectangular inside. At the height between 248 and 278m of its body part is a 7-storey building of 4,450 square meters, including Overlooking Hall, Revolving Dining Hall, etc. There is a disk-shaped rotary restaurant at 266 meters and on the top there is an indoor viewing platform. There is a restaurant in the Tower at the height of 248 meters (about 814 feet) to 278 meters (about 912 feet) which can simultaneously accommodate more than 200 guests and providing a bird's eye view of the whole Tianjin in this "hanging restaurant".
