Basha Miao Village
Basha is an ancient tribe that consists of five villages with 2,140 people, which is far away from noise and the crowds of modern civilization. Located among the primary forests in the Moon Mountain, the Basha tribe has preserved the ecological environment around as it was a thousand years ago.
The people here have been leading a plain but environment-friendly life. The clothes they wear and the building materials are from nature, and they never cut one single tree unless it has to. They just sell the withered trees' branches to buy the daily necessities. Therefore, here you can experience the primitive life and the environment without any pollution.
They still practice their unique custom and traditions dating back to the Qin Dynasty (2200 years ago) and have their own unique belief. Men still take the self-made gun and knife with them, and their dresses are like those of ancient warriors. Their hairstyle is the same as that of their ancestors in thousand years ago, so they are wearing the oldest hairstyle.

Take the long-distance bus from Guiyang (9 o’clock every morning, 70 CNY) or from Kaili, Liping, Rongjiang, Sanjiang, Guangxi and Rongshui County, then take the pedicab (10 CNY) or farm vehicles (3 CNY).
