East Lake Park covers 82 square km, two fifths of which is covered by East Lake that is five times largest as the West Lake in Hangzhou, thus it is regarded as the largest lake inside the city.
East Lake Park is one of the best choices for spending holidays in summer, because it has command of 12 lakes and over 120 small islands around which attractive sceneries, fresh air, harmonious environment and beautiful nature will make you reluctant to leave. All the lakes form a 11 km long shore, along which the tourism services, local foods, specialties shopping and customs experience are available.
Inside and around the East Lake Park, there are many other scenic spots are available, including the Yihai Beach, Wuhan Botanical Garden, Plump Garden, Sakura Garden, Bieiyang Bridge, Yunyan Temple, memorial halls for ancient celebrities, universities and museums etc.
