Dali Airport (DLU) is located in the southeast bank of Erhai Lake, 12km away from the downtown. As a small airport, it only has several airlines here, including Kunming, Xishuangbanna and Guangzhou. The flight from Kunming to Dali is available everyday costing only 30min.

How to get to the airport

2. By taxi (50RMB to the Xiaguan District, 90RMB to the Dali Ancient Town)

By Train
There are three trains everyday from Kunming to Dali and two of them start in the morning and one begins at night, taking 6 to 8 hours. In front of the station, you can go to the Dali Ancient Town by No.8 public bus with a cost of only 1.5RMB. The Dali-Lijiang Railway has been opened to the traffic in 2010, which is considered as ‘the most beautiful railway’. You can get to the Lijiang Ancient Town by train from Dali to appreciate amazing sceneries along the railway.
