The Snake Hill lies like a snake on the south bank of the Yangtze River, opposite to Gui Hill, together with which Snake Hill holds up the First Bridge of the Yangtze River. Seen from the sky, the Snake Hill looks like a true to life snake meanders on the bank of the Yangtze River.
This snake is as long as 1790 meters on and around which there are many famous resorts, such as the Yellow Crane Tower, the White Cloud Tower, Liuyun Pavillion and Shizhao Pavillion etc. From the peak of the Snake Hill, which is 85 meters high, the gorgeous and roaring Yangtze River and the entire grand Wuhan Yangtze River Bridge can be fully caught.

Therefore, in the past centuries, celebrities came here and left satisfaction with their own masterpieces. Li Bai, the most celebrated poet in Tang Dynasty (618-907), Bai Juyi, the eminent educator in Tang Dynasty, and Lu You, the most famous politician in Southern Song Dynasty (1127-1179) etc have been here for the splendid view of the great and beloved motherland and left behind their masterpieces.
