Huangshan has been called “sea of clouds” since ancient times. The sea of clouds is perhaps the most wonderful of the four wonders of huangshan. The other three are oddly-shaped pines, oddly-shaped rocks and hot springs.

The sea of clouds is not only an awe-inspiring natural landscape, but also the stuff of legend, with a mysterious quality in the eyes of the Chinese people.

The sea of clouds is divided into five areas: the south of the lotus peak, and the tiandu peak is the south China sea or the foresea. The manjusri terrace on the jade screen pavilion is the best place to view the sea. From the gate, you can take a minibus through the hot spring to the ciguang tower, where the jade screen line, you can easily reach the jade screen pavilion.

From the lotus peak to the southeast is yuping pavilion. It has the reputation of “the best place in huangshan”. It’s a good place to enjoy the scenery of qianhai. The famous welcome pine stands on the east side of yuping pavilion.

North of lion and shixin peaks is the north sea or houhai. Lion peak and cool terrace are not only the best places to see the sea of clouds in the north sea, but also the best places to see the sunrise. Clouds are always changing as moist air circulates. When the sun shines, the mountains are bathed in sunshine, and a moment later they are covered by clouds. It was a wonderful performance beyond compare.

East of white goose ridge is the sea of clouds, located at the top of the ropeway of cloud valley. Looking to the east, you can see clouds wreathed in the valleys of huangshan mountain, which falls in the countryside of anhui province.

The west has red cloud peak, the west has the flying stone, is the west sea scenic spot. Xiaoyun pavilion is an ideal place to enjoy the scenery, attracting people watching the sunset every day. This is the work of god. If you enter the huangshan scenic area through the back door, or walk to songgu temple, taiping temple (the longest temple in Asia) will take you to the cloud pavilion.
